Most people have pictures of their children or baseball game ticket stubs or airline boarding passes in their scrapbooks. I tend to save the beautiful label from my hand soap, an incredible postcard from the Maritime Hotel, a letterpressed wedding invitation. These seemingly ordinary things from my daily life inspire me in my efforts to create great design for my own clients, as owner and art director at tgsdesign. An award winning designer, Tanya Goodall Smith is the owner and creative director at tgsdesign. She has extensive experience designing for the medical, lifestyle and fashion industries and holds a degree in graphic design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles, California.
Tanya began her professional career at a large advertising agency in Los Angeles. While she found the corporate environment and large national brand assignments to be exhilarating, she preferred the more intimate, team collaboration experience she received while working at smaller agencies in the years that followed. She liked designing for people, not faceless job numbers from a weekly report.
Today Tanya leads a team of talented web-programmers, writers, artists and photographers. Her client base has grown to include large and small businesses and individuals nation wide. Clients appreciate her personable nature, attention to detail and ability to create innovative design and marketing solutions for their businesses and events.
